My favorite photo from the 2017 Tour de Travoy shows me at the top of the Col du Galibier in France. I found the Col du Galibier the toughest climb out of all the climbs on the Route de Grandes Alpes as it was very windy at times on the climb up to the summit. The Route des Grandes Alpes was the main aim of my tour this year but there were times I didn’t think I would finish it so I was extremely relieved to make it to the top of the Galibier. I was now past the half way stage on the Route des Grandes Alpes but it was only when I got here to the top of the Galibier that I knew I could complete what is arguably the toughest cycle route anywhere in Europe. In all, I took about 6000 photos on the 2017 Tour de Travoy with about 1000 in the French Alps but I have picked out the best photo from each day below.
