June 17th – 19th 2017 (Days 40 – 42) This week’s photo above shows a poster for a heavy metal band alongside a poster for a bullfight in the bull-ring in Sahagun. Both the band and the bull look quite fierce but not half as fierce as the heat from the sun in Sahagun. It was close to 40 degrees when I arrived at the town’s campsite around mid-day. I have never stopped as early on the Tour de Travoy but had no choice as the sun was just too hot to keep cycling. I am glad I did as Sahagun is a wonderful old style Spanish town. There were hundreds of posters for a bull-fight on Sunday June 11th at the Plaza des Toros in Sahagun plastered all the town. The bull-fight had already taken place a week earlier so I guess that is why the heavy metal band thought it OK to cover a bull-fight poster with their own poster. But looking at both posters side by side, I can’t decide between the band and the bull as to which looks the scarier.
